Choir
The Bremore Choir meets at lunch time every Monday in the Music Room. It is made up of students from all year groups and is open to anyone in our school community. It is a relaxed rehearsal where we work on various genres of singing and prepare for performances. All are welcome to join us at 12.50 every Monday!
Trad Band
Our newly formed Trad Band meets every Tuesday at 12.50 in the Music Room. This informal session gives beginners and more seasoned trad musicians an opportunity to learn and share tunes and explore Traditional Irish Music. Come along and hear what it’s all about!
Band Jam
Band Jam takes place every Wednesday in the Music Room. It is an opportunity for musicians from all year groups to come together and jam! It is student-led and is a very lively lunchtime activity! There are instruments available in the Music Room and some students bring their own instruments. Anyone is welcome to join in or pop in to see what all the noise is about at 12.50 every Wednesday!
Ukulele Thursday
The ukuleles come to life each Thursday at lunchtime! Ukulele Thursday is a club open to all members of our school community, beginners and more experienced ukulele players.
Open Mic Session
We hope to revive our Open Mic Sessions very soon! They take place once a month. Students and staff can sign up to perform on the sign-up sheet at the Music and Performance noticeboard (outside the meeting room on the ground floor). The Music Room then opens up to the audience for the lunchtime concert once a month. All are welcome to sign up to perform or to come and watch.
Music activities are open to all members of our school community, but we particularly encourage music students to get involved in these activities as they help build their performing skills which are essential in the study of Music at both Junior and Senior Cycles.
