Today we celebrated an official opening of our mural painting project at Taylor's Hill Lane in Balbriggan. The project was focused on the theme of wellbeing and diversity and it was open to students of Bremore as well as our local community. During the project a group of our students designed and painted murals to represent their view of wellbeing. Students worked hard on their paintings during the last academic year and over the summer and we are delighted to see all paintings finished with such a great success.
Todays event started with an opening song which was sang by our own choir and then we had a mini celebration with pizza, sandwiches and delicious cupcakes especially designed and made for us by our wonderful canteen lady Maria. Big Thank you to all wonderful students involved, their parents, Lizzy Noone, Hemerson Macalao from Taylor's Hill Association and a special thank you to Fingal County Council for the Creative Ireland Fund which covered the costs of this project. A one special thank you also goes to the SUBSET - a mural Artist collective from Dublin who sparked inspiration in many of our students.
We are lucky to have such wonderful people support us and we are looking forward to working on more projects like this in the future..
