Yesterday our students participated in an official opening of the mural painting on 'microplastics' made by the SUBSET on the Vauxhall Street in Balbriggan.
Microplastics are small pieces of plastic which come from industrial pollution. They can be very harmful to our environment, especially marine life. They block the digestive tracks of turtles and fish and make them sick by filling their stomachs full of plastic.
During the opening our students had an opportunity to see the mural which was created to spread awareness about plastic pollution. The event was featured by the Science Foundation and Irish Independent.
Thank you to SUBSET for inviting us to the event and we hope to see you again in the future!
