Last week we had Science Week in Bremore ETSS. We had a range of activities held throughout the week. Monday involved a bush tucker trial where students had the opportunity to taste some insects! On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we hosted Balbriggan Educate Together Primary School. Fifth and sixth class students had the chance to make elephant toothpaste and do the flame test experiments. They were fantastic scientists and received certificates for becoming scientists in Bremore ETSS. Our own students dissected hearts, kidneys and eyeballs on Wednesday which they thoroughly enjoyed! On Wednesday, our TY girls listened to a talk on Women in Stem and learned information about the future careers and opportunities ahead of them if they were to pursue studies in STEM. We ended the week with a Kahoot quiz and prizes for the tutor groups who won the riddle competition held every morning. Well done to everyone involved! It was a brilliant week!
