Minecraft Mondays

Minecraft Mondays

Minecraft Mondays started in 2019 due to the high demand for a club relating to gaming. This year, the club was limited to 1st Year only (with a few students from other years as helpers) to promote positive relationships and a safe space for our youngest students after years of uncertainty due to covid. We have created a world where we play fair, help each other and engage in friendly battles.

Most recently, the Minecraft Mondays club completed the 2021 Minecraft Timecraft Hour of Code challenge. This enabled them to learn basic coding concepts to correct mysterious mishaps throughout history! Travel back in time to save the future in this free Hour of Code lesson in Minecraft: Education Edition. Players will choose their own adventure and connect with great innovators and inventions in science, architecture, music, engineering, and more.

This is the beginning of a whole school digital strategy to implement gamification in the classroom.
