I hope this message finds all our Third Year families safe and well.
As you are most likely aware, this year’s Junior Cycle SEC examinations will not go ahead in June. Students will receive a certificate of completion from the Department of Education and a school report from Bremore ETSS. In line with Department of Education guidelines, and to protect the time left for teaching and learning, we will be taking a balanced approach in gathering further evidence of third year students attainment over the remainder of the school year. School based assessment therefore will be in class and we are working collaboratively to ensure students are not over assessed on their return to school. Individual teachers will give further information regarding their individual subjects when students return. Students must have one CBA completed for each subject rather than the usual two.
