70% Student Engagement

Student Engagement

Dear Students and Parents,

Bremore ETSS students are a credit to themselves and their families, today we had 70% of students engaged in the online year group assemblies. We would love to have 100% engagement in all lessons going forward. Over the next few weeks we will be monitoring and reviewing students engagement in lessons and the content of the lessons.

Engagement

Students are expected to engage in lessons, complete the work assigned and return it to the subject teacher. We have high expectations of all of our students. We are very grateful for the support of parents to ensure that the students work conscientiously. However we do understand that some of our families may be affected by Covid19 or may find remote learning stressful. If this is the case please contact the students relevant tutor so that we may find ways of giving additional supports. Please note some staff members may also be affected by Covid19 and may also find remote teaching stressful. This is a crisis situation and it’s not the ideal. Therefore it is important that we as a school community support each other, be understanding and know when to ask for help.

Students with Additional Needs

Learning support and SNAs will contact the students who have been assigned to them during the remote learning period.

This is not the way we wanted to start the New Year, however we need to make the best out of this situation. The high numbers of positive cases and the situation which the hospital find themselves in is concerning. We all need to ensure we are following the guidelines, maintaining social distancing, reducing contacts and hand washing.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Teachers, SNAs, Ancillary Staff for all their work in making our remote learning possible and successful. I would also like to thank you our parents for your continued support and good wishes. I would like to encourage all our students to do their very best over the coming weeks and ensure them that this will pass. Please stay safe, look out for each other and let’s look forward to a brighter future.

I saw this poem on the internet and I thought it was apt.
