On Tuesday the 15th of October the second years went on a trip to the Glendalough Mountains. We departed the school at quarter to ten and hopped on the bus. The scenery out of the bus window was really beautiful.Within about an hour we arrived at our destination. We jumped off the bus excited for our day ahead. We had a ten minute lunch break, soon after the rain started falling but that didn’t dampen our spirits. We headed on a scenic walk up a steep mountain. We passed a really fabulous waterfall. We were allowed stop and take and pictures. Once we reached a midway point of the mountain we climbed back down. Some of us out of breath, others really wanting to walk some more,so we strolled to the lake. It was really pretty even though it was raining. We then walked over to some benches and ate our lunch. Mike had brought some balls so we could play football if we wanted to. Then we we went on a forty minute walk back to the bus. Passing mountains and lakes as we went. After, we got back on the bus and had great fun chatting with our friends.Glendalough was really stunning.
We made some really great memories! Thank you to the Student Council and the PE department for organising this trip!
