Exploring Poverty Through Etching - Creative Engagement

Creative Engagement / Exploring Poverty Through Etching

Our second year students have recently completed a Creative Engagement project on the theme of Poverty. During the project students explored the theme from many perspectives while looking at multiple layers of the problem and the challenges that come with it. Along with the prints students also designed clay sculptures which will be framed and sold in an Etsy Shop that will be set up to raise money for a local charity.

During the project students had an opportunity to work with a print artist Clare Henderson who taught students how to create a print using a copper sulphate method. Special thank you to Clare for sharing her unique skills with our students and helping them to experience this practice in a meaningful way.
