Amanda O'Farrell from CSInc, an organization focused on promoting inclusivity and inclusive approaches in the Computer Science field, met with our 6th year LCCS students virtually today to go through ALT1 (Applied Learning Task 1 - Interactive Information Systems) and JavaScript.
This was part of our celebration of Code Week EU!
As part of their final assessment for LCCS, students are asked to complete a coursework task for 10 weeks following the winter break.
This workshop developed their basic coding skills using JavaScript, taught them all about databases and introduced students to ideas that they may utilize for their coursework.
The students worked hard and engaged with the workshop well. We are extremely excited to create links with an organization such as CSInc as they are based in TU Dublin, Tallaght Campus, where the camp team are faculty of the School of Science, Department of Computing.
We look forward to linking in with CSInc again soon.
